Amrynn Gamirdren

female elf draconic sorceror
Height: 6'1, Weight: 117 lbs
Eyes: dark gray, Hair: brown

Brown hair tumbles down her back, left to roam free, unfettered and uncontrolled. Dark grey eyes that at once reveal the peace and calm of the elves, the timeless wisdom their race possesses, and a deeper ocean of broiling fury, barely controlled. Skin as smooth as porcelain, browned by the sun's kiss on a traveller's face. A frame that stands tall, proud and stiff, yet contains the fragility of a new-born twig. All this clothed in elegant elven clothing; strong of weave and light of bearing.

Bardek Marczak

male human cleric of Cayden Cailean
Height: 6', Weight: 162 lbs
Eyes: brown, Hair: brown

Bardek is a man in his mid-thirties, his features a mix of celish and taldori blood beneath his short beard. His age shows in the lines at the corners of his brown eyes and across his forehead, and in the noble’s point (or widow’s peak) of his shoulder-length, straight dark brown hair. Still, those lines are clearly the results of smiles and squinting against the sun that has colored his otherwise pale skin. His plain, sturdy brown clothing is well-worn, but also clean and reasonably well cared-for. The battered copper mug at the hip opposite his equally battered rapier indicates a probable connection to the Accidental God, and, in truth, it seems that this man may well have found himself an accidental... whatever he may be. Still, his easy smile and the glint in his eyes invite you to offer him a drink and ask him his story, while leaving you with the impression that he may have already started with a cup or two.

Bardek is pretty-much your stereotypical priest of Cayden Cailean, if a few years older than most. A stand-up, accepting guy, with a strange sense of humor. He works very hard to enjoy life as it happens and take people as they come. He has an especially soft spot for orphans. He reveres freedom and good quality alcohol. He also believes in and demonstrates his God’s value of resolve in the face of challenge. If he sets a goal, he works towards it with all his might - though he's (usually) wise enough to know when a tactical withdrawal is the most likely course of action to get him to that goal. Basically, he's a textbook example of what you would expect a follower of Cayden Cailean should be like, including being just a little drunk most of the time.

Devin

Male half-elf rogue/shadow sorceror
Height: 5'10, Weight: 116 lbs
Eyes: cyan, Hair: sepia (shoulder-length, worn tied back with a leather cord at the nape of the neck)

A mostly unremarkable and undistinguished half-elven young adult, with guarded but sharp eyes of brilliant crystal blue and a hard-learned skeptical distance to him. He’s modestly built with a face that could readily be overlooked in a crowd, and simple sepia-colored rough-hewn hair worn a little long and tied back for practicality. His choice of clothing is simple and practical, darkened with design and wear and perhaps with some modest protective value, but nothing overt and carrying few accoutrements.

Kamala

Female Angel-touched Aasimar Enlightened Paladin /Scaled Fist Unchained Monk /Crossblooded Abyssal Draconic Sorcerer
Height: 6'3, Weight: 175 lbs
Eyes: Ice blue (that shine in the dark like a cat’s), Hair: Silver-white

Taller than most men and impressively muscular, Kamala is an intimidating and awe-inspiring woman. With her almost inhumanly beautiful features, perfect proportions, and remarkable poise, confidence, and unflappable demeanor more than one person has commented- not to her- that she is like a statue of some legendary figure come to life. Her skin is dark, both from her Vudran heritage and years spent in the harsh southern sun, but her hair is silver-white and her eyes are an unnaturally bright ice blue that gleam in the dark like a cat’s.

Rather than the traditional long braid of an Iroran monk, her white hair is cut short due to an incident with slavers down south. She has picked up the habit of putting on war paint before going into battle and while she doesn’t wear armor or much in the way of equipment she does wear a very threatening mask with a demon’s face and a shock of red hair, all to make herself more intimidating and more of a threat for enemies to focus on.

Notable NPCs

Father Abstalar Zantus
The new High Priest of Sandpoint, following Father Tobyn's death in the Sandpoint Fire. He is a follower of Desna, but is open-minded and also advises followers of the other five faiths represented in the cathedral.
Captain Acacia Uriana
The Captain of the Watch in Magnimar, Acacia is a fiery-tempered and opinionated woman, with pale brown eyes and long red hair. She gave the party leave to continue their investigations of the murders in Magnimar, having confirmed their identities as the Heroes of Sandpoint through means both magical and mundane, a sign that the search for the killers was not going well.
Lord Aldern Foxglove
Sandpoint noble. He was saved from goblins by the group, and took them on a boar hunt as a reward.
Bergi Kauflebaum
A humble messenger by trade until she joined the Heroes of Sandpoint, Bergi saw the goblin threat through to the end, offering her invaluable service until it was no longer needed. Now a retired Hero of Sandpoint herself, she has returned to the quiet life of the townsfolk.
Bid'ja
Electric blue skin is a striking feature on an otherwise unremarkable visage. A speckling of freckles and a short pixie crop of navy hair gives Bid’ja a more disarming appearance than what her vocation would otherwise imply. Her eyes are a dark plum, and a pair of charcoal ribbed horns curl back from her brow and behind her ears, similar to a ram. Though small in stature, she can inexplicably, almost comically, be quite imposing when calling upon her judgments.

Bid'ja met the party briefly at the Hambly farm, then joined the Sandpoint militia.

Brodert Quink
A cantankerous old sage studying the Old Light.
Bruthazmus
A goblin "hero" with a particular hatred of elves (as evidenced by his elf-ear necklace), Bruthazmus was a wicked bugbear engaged in a private war with Shalelu Andosana, and under Nualia's command at Thistletop. After killing Quickfoot, and nearly killing several other party members, with his powerful black bow and rune-carved arrows, he himself was killed by I'Daiin during the party's final raid on the goblin stronghold, and his bow confiscated.
Caizarlu Zerren
A Varisian necromancer that the party caught commanding the ghouls that had taken over Habe's Sanatorium, the party captured him and turned him over to the Sheriff in Sandpoint for justice - but not before he blinded Amrynn with a curse.
Cosmin Strofa
It’s the smile, at first. Pure, brilliant, and radiant, it almost never leaves his face. At once it shines with both the luster of innocent beauty and the radiant heat of inner passion. Next are the eyes – brilliantly blue, with flecks of carved amethyst dotting the iris. They are gems that happened to find themselves embedded within a mortal’s face, constantly capturing the perfect angles of light to dazzlingly shimmer no matter the hour. Then the hair – wild and flowing, somehow drained of the rich, dark tones common among his family and yet still exemplifying the naturally full manes seen across Varisia. So blonde as to almost be white, it is the perfect compliment to his bronzed skin, flawless and burnished by the gentle touch of the sun.

In short, Cosmin is very clearly not entirely of the mortal realm and it is difficult to pretend otherwise. His Varisian facial features and minimalist facial hair, however, clearly mark him as one of the people of the road. In dress, Cosmin favors the elaborate ruffles, colorful scarves, and flowing capes of his culture, preferring the colors of red, pink, orange, and white, with touches of silver or blue. Pinned to some of his clothing is the plummage of songbirds, accenting the colors of his outfit with natural hues. Upon his chest and neck are clear signs of ink: a tattoo in the Varisian style. Hanging from his neck is always the silver songbird symbol of Shelyn – his goddess and patron.

Cosmin met the party briefly at the Hambly farm, rejoined them at the Misgivings, then went on his own way.

Durriken Fedias
Durriken is a slim man but is in decent shape despite being older than most human adventurers. He wears the traditional black robes piped with silver with a cloak secured with a red thornless rose scarab. His brown hair is starting to grey especially around the temples and his face shows the signs of crow’s feet around his eyes and mouth. Still his smile is friendly and often puts people at ease. Under his robes he wears an old suit of chainmail and carries a buckler also adorned with a thornless rose motif. A light mace is found hooked to his belt and a light crossbow strung across his back. When not in the field, he can often be found reading the holy text of Pharasma. The Bone Lands in a Spiral

Durriken of Pharasma aided the Heroes of Sandpoint in their quest to end the threat of Thistletop, but let them take point in the question of the mysterious and gruesome murders in town while he served at the Sandpoint Cathedral.

Doctor Erin Habe
The doctor once in charge of the Saintly Haven of Respite, aka. Habe's Sanatorium. There were two horrifically inhuman orderlies in his employ - disfigured Gortus and hairy Gurnak.

The party rescued Habe from his patient-turned-tormentor, Grayst Sevilla, who had become a ghast and taken over the Sanatorium with Caizarlu Zerren. However, Habe's own notes suggested that he had been observing ghoul fever ravage Grayst when the man was still alive, interested in observing the change to an undead state. After the party took him to jail in Sandpoint, Bardek read his notes, then gave them to the Sheriff as evidence for Habe's trial.

I'Daiin
I'Daiin (EE DahEEN) is a tall, rangy youth, with tanned muscles and a light bristle of black hair on his scalp and chin. Alarming tattoos of the sun on his face, head, shoulders and chest mark him as a warrior of the Sklar-Quah.

He became one of the Heroes of Sandpoint, and helped drive off the goblins that threatened the town.

Sir Jasper Korvaski
A well-dressed follower of Abadar who doesn't get along with Lord Scarnetti.
Kendra Deverin
Mayor of Sandpoint
Lyrie
One of the mercenaries under Nualia's command at Thistletop, Lyrie was a necromancer who was quickly killed by the party during their final raid on the island. Her familiar, Skivver, was near-mortally wounded, but survived, now a normal ill-tempered white cat loose on the streets of Sandpoint.
Maester Grump
A farmer from the outskirts of Sandpoint, Maester Grump was badly shaken when the party met him. An older man with a short, curly white beard, overalls and a straw hat, he was covered with dried mud and in shock.
Malfeshnekor
A barghest trapped in the lower reaches of the Thistletop complex, Malfeshnekor (or is it Jhorhesh?) bargained for his freedom with Devin (who identified himself as Vinz Clortho), but was rebuffed. Now he awaits the promised return of the party.
Nualia
The adopted daughter of Father Tobyn, the previous High Priest of Sandpoint, Nualia was favored by Desna, and thought to have been killed in the Sandpoint Fire along with her father. She reappeared as the orchestrator of the goblin raid on Sandpoint during the Swallowtail Festival, and in Tsuto's journal it was revealed that she intended to stage a much larger raid, with hundreds of goblins, soon after. Now a priestess of Lamashtu, her left arm had been horribly transformed into something demonic.

She was killed by the party in an ambush in the dungeon below Thistletop, along with her char-hided, ember-eyed hell-dog, Yarmash.

Orik Vancaskerkin
A mercenary originally working for Nualia at Thistletop; stern-faced and ruggedly handsome, wielding a bastard sword and a shield fashioned to resemble a giant's face. Convinced to switch sides at swordpoint by Bergi after nearly having killed Rhaina. After helping the party on Thistletop, he vanished into the woods.
Pidgit Tergelson
A wererat confined in Habe's Sanatorium. The party is considering whether to attempt to cure him of his affliction - but even then, he would still be insane, flying into a rage if he isn't given every bladed object he spots.
Rhaina Silverhair
A Shoanti called by Sarenrae to aid Sandpoint in its time of need, Rhaina saw to it that the goblin threat to the town was ended, and retired as a Hero of Sandpoint.
Sabyl Sorn
A monk who tends the House of Blue Stones, a monastery of Irori in Sandpoint. She has short, dark red hair.
Lord Scarnetti
One of the nobles of Sandpoint, who doesn't approve of Sir Korvaski for some reason.
Shalelu Andosana
An elf who is an unofficial member of Sandpoint's town guard, and an expert on the local goblins. She told the party about the five tribes surrounding Sandpoint, and their "heroes," one of which she had a private war with until I'Daiin killed him - Bruthazmus.
The Sandpoint shopkeeps
So far the party has met:
  • Ameiko of the Rusty Dragon Inn, an exotic woman talented at singing.
  • Chod Bevuk, owner of the Sandpoint Meat Market. The little finger of his left hand is missing. He gave away "goblin jerky" to the winners of the Goblin Toss game at the Swallowtail Festival.
  • Cyrdak Drokkus, owner of the Sandpoint Theater.
  • Das Korvut, foul-mouthed and foul-tempered smith at the Red Dog Smithy, named for the enormous red mastiffs he keeps. Hrolfr convinced him to use Mutt to frighten the goblins under interrogation after the raid. I'Daiin convinced him to lend his dogs to the search for the killer at the Sandpoint Sawmill.
  • Daviren Hosk, graying owner of the Goblin Squash Stables, a gruff man whose hatred of goblins is legendary in Sandpoint.
  • Garridan Viskalai, a Shiikirri-Quah Shoanti and owner of the White Deer Inn. His wife is Yani.
  • Hayliss Korvaski, owner of the Sandpoint Boutique. She has a long-running feud with the Scarnetti noble family.
  • Jargie Quinn of the Hagfish Tavern, a gregarious one-legged man.
  • Larz Rovanky, workaholic owner of the Sandpoint tannery.
  • Master Parooh, an old gnome with a taste for Ameiko's spicy food. Owns The Way North, a library of maps that he copies out to travelers for a price.
  • Nisk Tander of Bottled Solutions, a half-elven alchemist with singed white hair.
  • Sabyl Sorn, the keeper of the House of Blue Stones Iroran monastery.
  • Savah Bevaniky, the owner of Savah's Armory.
  • Ven Vinder, overprotective father of Katrine and Shayliss Vinder.
  • Vorvashali Voon of The Feathered Serpent, an exotic, gregarious and enthusiastic man with bright blue eyes, long red hair and bronze skin.
  • A large, doughy-armed woman from Sandpoint Savories.

The Sandpoint town guards
So far the party has met:
  • Belor Hemlock, Sheriff of Sandpoint, a grim-faced Shiikirri-Quah Shoanti
  • Jaren Basvear, corporal

  • Hazgan "Haz" Drelvar
  • Ileana Magravi, a Varisian woman with dark curly hair, dusky skin and hoop earrings
  • Jubal Nakrimor
  • Kilana Hamdrelba
  • Lance Hurn
  • Merin Vargil, a stout middle-aged woman with twin 9-year-old daughters
  • Nilly Ancera, whose father was killed by the Chopper
  • Olhart "Ollie" Zemca, not an animal person
  • Paltero Banngar, a beer-bellied, balding man
  • Quera Yngar
  • Rip Charg
  • Silver Enda, a young woman with pale blonde hair

  • Vachedi, the heavily scarred Shoanti jailor.
Tsuto Kaijitsu
Ameiko's bastard brother who kidnapped her with the help of goblins, leaving the Glassworks an abbatoir and his father dead, encased in glass, in the midst of it. The party captured him and sent him to the garrison jail to await transport to Magnimar for sentencing. Reading his journal gave the party clues as to who stood behind the raid on Sandpoint - his lover, Nualia - and warned them of plans for a much larger goblin assault, along with something called Malfeshnekor.
